Fermentation Buildings

The refurbishment of Fermentation Building within Finzels Reach has defined a series of creative office spaces that blend the requirements of modern working with its rich historic character.

Each of the office spaces seeks to work with the varied palette of brick, stone, and steel, with the introduction of new services and cores creating self contained spaces that meet market demands. The challenges of this project focused around the need to harmonise the distribution of services through a series of spaces with recent internal structural alterations in a way that did not compromise the quality or flexibility of the spaces. The visual treatment of new entrance and wc cores create a visual counterpoint to the building’s original industrial heritage with sparkling mosaic tiles, metalwork and lighting creating a strong relationship between new and old.
