Spread over a number of phases this £14m development has provided new staff reception, library, building vocational teaching spaces, including workshop environments, along with full refurbishment of the original listed buildings.

At the heart of the site is the original orphanage swimming pool building which now provides the main student refectory space. The development delivery was underpinned by comprehensive end user briefing and communication in order that spatial allocation was fully communicated and agreed. This liaison extended through to sign off of the room data sheets, which included full elevation details showing co-ordinated setting out of the services and fittings as well as the extent of repair items such as plasterwork for 300 rooms.
