St Petersburg Yacht Club

As a part of an ongoing collaboration with IDG, this project sees the development of the original concept design to provide international standard facilities to the current marina which is on the western edge of the city. Working with a local Russian design team, The Bush Consultancy are preparing detailed design proposals and will continue through the latter stages as the overseeing executive architect.

The principle aim of this development is to enhance the existing facilities to allow delivery of an international standard sailing centre and an exclusive boutique hotel that whilst operating independently, will harmoniously relate to each other on the site. Aesthetic expression of the buildings and facilities across the site are represented through angular/linear forms in the functional areas of the yacht club facilities, with more organic forms reflecting the emotive aura of the hotel.
